World Button — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
World Button (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a tap-counter game published by Celestial Software LLC. This policy explains what data the app handles. We keep it short because the app collects very little.
No account, no personal profile
World Button has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any personal identity information, and we do not build a profile about you.
What the app stores on your device
Your progress — your local tap count, unlocked button skins, unlocked achievements, and settings — is stored only on your device. It is not uploaded to us. If you delete the app, this data is removed.
The shared global counter
The app shows a worldwide tap counter. When you tap, your device sends an anonymous increment to our backend (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore) so it can be added to the global total. These increments are anonymous numbers — they are not linked to your identity. To use the backend the app signs in anonymously with Firebase; this creates a random, throwaway identifier with no personal information attached. See Firebase’s privacy information at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising
The app is free and supported by ads, delivered through Appodeal (https://www.appodeal.com/privacy-policy/) and its mediated ad networks (including Google AdMob, AppLovin, and others). To show ads and measure their performance, these partners may access your device’s advertising identifier and limited device/usage information, and may use it to personalize ads and for advertising analytics. This is the only tracking the app performs.
On iOS, we ask for your permission before tracking (Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt). Where required by law, we also show a consent form. You can change your choice any time in your device’s Settings → Privacy, and, where applicable, from the app’s Settings → Privacy options screen. Partner privacy details: Google/AdMob (https://policies.google.com/privacy), AppLovin (https://www.applovin.com/privacy/).
Children
World Button is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Data retention
On-device data stays until you delete the app. Anonymous global-counter increments are aggregated into a running total on our backend and are not tied to any person. Advertising data is retained by the ad partners under their own policies.
Your choices
- Decline ad tracking via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, or in device Settings.
- Reset all on-device progress by deleting and reinstalling the app.
